Policy Statement

Sani-Pure Food Laboratories is a multi-discipline laboratory utilizing a three component approach for our quality assurance plan; prevention, assessment, and correction. We have one individual responsible for coordinating all of the quality assurance responsibilities. Each discipline within the laboratory is subjected to performance and system audits.

Sani-Pure Food Laboratories is in compliance with 21 CFR - Part 58, Good Laboratory Practice for Nonclinical Laboratory Studies.

The following is a brief overview od our QA System plan:
Training of the analyst or technician for the required discipline.
Preventive maintenance of instruments.
Calibration protocols for instruments.
Standardization of solutions.
Records maintenance.
Proficiency testing.
Quality control audits.

Intralaboratory testing is an essential element of the QA plan. Each discipline analyzes "blind" samples as an index of analyst and laboratory precision. "Blinds" are analyzed monthly.

This laboratory is subject to both on-site and proficiency sampling by the United States Department of Agriculture, State of New Jersey Departments of Health and Environmental Protection, State of New York Department of Health, and the Food and Drug Administration. We participate with the United States Customs on imported product subject to inspection and analysis.

Sani-Pure Food Laboratories continues to be active in collaborative studies for methods seeking AOAC first action approval. We have participated in the following studies:

Spiral plating for total bacterial counts in dairy products.
